Hello All.

Now the candidate registration process for R40C elections is completed.
There is only one candidate to be a new R40C - Wadim A. Sigalov 2:400/333.
According to the Z2_ELECT document, he becomes the new R40C without discussion
and vote counting because there's no other candidates.

I wish good luck to the new R40C. And I want to say "THANKS" to Liron Newman,
which was a very good Temporary R40C at this time.

Hello All.

Due to pre-term resignation of Shimon Morami, the previous R40C, the new R40C election is announced.
The election will be carried out by the scheme, similar to the one provided by the document NC_ELECT.Z2, in three stages. The first stage is nomination, of candidates, the second one is discussion of candidates, the third stage is voting.
The nomination stage will last from 01.05.2001 till 07.05.2001. The discussion stage is from 08.05.2001 till 14.05.2001. The voting stage is from 15.05.2001 till 28.05.2001.
Now the stage of candidate nomination is announced.
Each node of Region 40, present in the world nodelist #117 of April 27, 2001 with no Pvt, Hold or Down flags, has the right to nominate itself.

The node wishing to nominate itself for R40C, must submit its nomination application by netmail to one of the Returning Officers before 07.05.2001. The form of application may be arbitrary, the language is English, Hebrew or Russian. It is recommended to send the nomination applications by Crash/Direct metmail, although the applications sent by routing will be registered too.
ATTENTION !!! Applications sent after 07.05.2001, will not be registered! It is recommended not to wait till the end of nomination term, but to nominate as early as possible.
